ManCraft Denver Recap

Who wants a mustache ride?  I did, and I got one at ManCraft Denver!

My 2014 holiday season would not have been complete if I hadn’t taken a cruise down South Broadway to the VFW Post 2462 where 30+ bearded, burly, and mostly flanneled men were selling their crafty treasures. I had plans to visit The Denver Flea and Firefly handmade the same weekend so I could skip the mall and finish my holiday shopping a little early, but ManCraft left me more than fulfilled.

There was beer and whiskey a-flowing, hand-carved wood objects of all shapes and sizes, bacon jam, and even a “man sack” for the first 50 people full of manly stuff (which I missed due to the busy Broadway traffic). I was also stoked to see that they had a “best beard/mustache” competition going on where you could drop a $1 or a $5 in the pitcher at their station, and whoever had the most moolah at the end of the night won ultimate ManCraft bearded glory! Plus, all of the proceeds in their pitchers went to support the VSA Access Gallery on Santa Fe, a personal First Friday favorite of mine!

My finds at ManCraft were unique and perfect for my family and friends, who all loved the manly trinkets and homemade gifts that this little elf left under the tree. The best part of all was that I didn’t blow my wad too early (which was tough with all that man muff in the room), and I had enough cash left over to buy myself a Mustache Ride, a Camel Toe, and a Prophylactic Sac trio of undergarments.
