AIGA Colorado: Elevate | A Tandem College Mentorship Program

AIGA Colorado’s Tandems pairs students with design professionals to work on projects for the greater good. When two paths cross to collaborate on design for good, amazing things can happen. Students experience working with an established designer. Professionals develop their leadership skills and are exposed to fresh ideas. We give voice to issues that otherwise may not have an audience. We support mentorship programming for students and teens living with disabilities. And we keep the cycle of learning going throughout all the stages of a design career, where everyone walks away better for having crossed paths.

AIGA Colorado: Elevate is meant to enhance our design community by identifying with characteristics of what it means to be a designer. Design students from Colorado colleges and universities will be paired with professional designers from the Denver design community.

Your challenge, if chosen for the mentor program, is to collaboratively design a poster centered around social activism. Your Mentor will guide your process and support design decisions and your final poster product will be showcased in The Poster Show on July 17th at the VSA Access Gallery on Santa Fe and will remain on display for First Friday August 2015!

You must apply to be considered for Elevate 2015 and there are only 15 slots available so the sooner you apply the better! Applications and fees are due no later than March 18th.
