Juniper Ridge Scent Design

We all are familiar with web design, print design, packaging design and environmental design, but how about scent design? Perfume, cologne and other fragrances are the end result of the scent design process. Many of us who live in Colorado can appreciate the products from Juniper Ridge, the only company to produce natural wild fragrances.

Founded in 1998 by a hiking enthusiast, the company has grown from a one man operation to a team of avid adventurers. The design process is all done in-house and includes backpacking excursions, harvesting plants, distilling, blending and finally shipping the products. The end result is a fresh, natural fragrance that is reminiscent of the beauty and serenity of places like Big Sur, Mojave Desert and the Sierra Mountains.

Here some of the pictures from of Juniper Ridges’ harvest adventures and of the redesigned packaging done by Obi Kaufmann, Chief Storyteller. Be sure to check out the company’s website to learn more and to read all about their harvest stories.
