AIGA Colorado is partnering with the Denver Pavilions to present ArtStir Denver, the art & design market curated by AIGA member, Samuel Schimek, owner of I Heart Denver Store.
Voted by Westword a “Best New Festival Denver 2014”, this Memorial Day weekend arts marketplace is held in the heart of Downtown Denver on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25. The event is free to the public and features works from Colorado artists and designers. There will be more than 100 artists participating and more than 100,000 people wandering through.
ArtStir Denver exclusively showcases local and regional creatives with a lively blend of art, and style that is sure to “stir up” the artist in all of us. Featured works will include paintings, sculpture, photography, illustration, jewelry, textiles, prints, furnishings, mixed media, and locally designed goods. Part of the event proceeds will benefit AIGA Colorado and other community partners.
You’ll find the artist tents in the parking lots on either side of Glenarm Place at 15th Street on Saturday from 11 am-8 pm and Sunday from 11 am-6 pm. Lots of activities, like the AIGA CO ArtWall are found along Glenarm and spreading into the retail corridors.
We’re looking for a few good men and women to help out at the event. We need volunteers to help assist artists, man the ArtWall and the AIGA booth as well as take photographs. What’s in it for you? It’s a great opportunity to give back to the local art and design community and you will play an integral part in making ArtStir a big success. In addition, you’ll score an ArtStir tee and be entered to win a $50 I Heart Denver gift certificate. Plus, if you sign up to volunteer for the early bird 6 am time slot for Saturday, you’ll get a $20 Denver Pavilions gift certificate. Free parking is available, just let us know if you need it.

Saturday, May 24:
6:00 am – 9:45 am
9:30 am – 1:15 pm
1:00 pm – 4:45 pm
4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Sunday, May 25:
10:30 – 1:30 pm
1:15 – 4:30 pm
4:15 -7:30 pm
Volunteers needed to (5 per shift):
- Assist artists, booth sitting
- Man ArtWall
- Main AIGA Booth and be an ambassador of Design
- Photograph event
Saturday, May 24 6:00 am Shift (7 needed):
- Help vendors load in, be a “watcher,” and direct traffic. All cars need to be unloaded and out of the area as the road will close at 9 am for a parade.
- Set up AIGA CO booth and ArtWall
- Get a $20 gift card to the Denver Pavilions for volunteering in this Early Bird slot!
ArtStir is held at the Denver Pavilions, 500 16th Street Mall, Denver, CO 80202. Volunteer check in is at the Denver Pavilions tent, 16th & Glenarm.
Do you have a pick up truck?
We need one or two volunteers Saturday 8-9am and Sunday 6-7pm to transport the ArtWall.
