AIGA Colorado seeks to enhance the abilities of design educators and educational institutions in order to prepare future designers for excellence in design practice. We achieve this by:
- Creating programming throughout the school year to engage, inspire and mentor emerging design students;
- Creating opportunities for design students to engage with the broader design community through the Robert Taylor scholarship, the Design Continuum Fund and a mentorship program with Denver Public Schools; and
- Supporting six student groups throughout Colorado, each consisting of ten or more AIGA members, as well as an on-campus faculty adviser who acts as group coordinator and liaison.
We also believe that learning doesn’t stop when you leave the classroom. Our Robert Taylor professional grant helps working designers remain relevant, creative and profitable by supporting them to gain a new skill, perspective or income stream.
