Experience the magic of designing with authentic wood type and vintage letterpresses.  Letterpress Live! is the Book Arts League’s three month kick-off event to promote community access to our amazing letterpress studio, soon to be available to local artists and crafters on an hourly fee basis!

If you dig vintage print as an art medium, these workshops are for you. All of our instructors are highly accomplished in the field of letterpress design. Participants in each class will have the totally cool experience of working with our fully-functional vintage letterpresses. No experience necessary! The first class is October 6^th, so sign up today.

Sunday, Oct. 6^th: Exploring Wood Type – Learn how to use wood type to create multiple layers of text and pattern

Sunday, Nov. 3^rd: Text, Texture & Color – Add rich texture to your design on paper, fabric, wallpaper, stickers – anything thin and pliable will work!

Sunday, Dec. 1^st: Printers Ornaments – Create moveable type pictures
