AIGA Colorado Presents the First Robert Taylor Professional Development Grants

During the AIGA 100 Celebration on January 21, 2014 we revealed the winners of our inaugural Robert Taylor Professional Grant award. Congratulations to Katherine McCoy and Marni Myers who each won the $1,000 grant. The winning proposals involved Creative Thinking Workshops from Marni Myers and the creation of a book documenting the 54-year history of the International Design Conference in Aspen from Katherine McCoy.

In total we received five applications and while all of the ideas were excellent we as a board were very interested in these two ideas that would document the rich history of design in the late 20th Century and delve into the latest in creative thinking by aggregating information presented at design conferences. They will be sharing their progress and success of their projects with AIGA Colorado members.

We look forward to celebrating the achievements of these two local designers and wish to support other designers in our community with future Robert Taylor Professional Grant awards. For further information please contact Gwen Penner.
