AIGA Colorado welcomed its new board on Saturday, August 9th with a day that started with Voo Doo doughnuts and ended with a human pyramid. Board members for the 2014-15 term gathered to review past projects and programs and plan for AIGA Colorado’s biggest year yet – the 25th anniversary of its charter amidst the 100th year of the AIGA national organization.
Board members serving in the areas of Chapter Development, Event Programming, Communications and Mentorship/Education mingled minds and brought fresh ideas to the table with new ways to improve AIGA’s already thriving Colorado chapter. The Four “Towers of Awesomeness” as they’re being called, met with their own groups and worked across the aisle with other members of the board to generate new ideas on how to boost chapter development, continue its already-outstanding programming (including education and mentorships), and improve communication throughout AIGA and the broader community.
The day wrapped up with an extensive list of short- and long-term goals, new initiatives, and a strong sense of collaboration. The 25th anniversary of AIGA Colorado is guaranteed to be the best year yet!
