Morning Brew: The Unexpected Journey of Healthcare Hero

Join AIGA Colorado for our virtual Morning Brew Series! It is more important than ever to stay connected so join us for a short 30 minute presentation from industry professionals regarding the topics of health, the future of design, or community.

Austin will go through a personal account of the unexpected community reception of the Healthcare Hero Mural he created over Easter weekend. The community support inspired him to create 9 other murals across Denver highlighting other professions and people. He will account the journey and process in creating all these works.

Austin will go through a personal account of the unexpected community reception of the Healthcare Hero Mural he created over Easter weekend. The community support inspired him to create 9 other murals across Denver highlighting other professions and people. He will account the journey and process in creating all these works. He will start by focusing on the immediate reception of the Healthcare Hero mural. It went viral in the first few days of completion being featured by many news sources and eventually making the New York Times. Meanwhile, Austin spent every weekend (9 weekends in a row) creating mural’s representing other professions including: Doctor, Chef, Construction worker, Server, Food Delivery professional, sanitation worker, first responders, teacher, and veterinarian. He will account the details of each work and the inspiration behind them. Along the way he also partnered with Denver Beer Co, Frontline Foods, and Bigsby’s Folly Winery, each raising awareness and funds to the healthcare community.

Speaker Bio:

Austin Zucchini-Fowler is a Denver street artist and fine art painter. He began first doing public art 2 years ago. He works in a unique pointillism style and focuses on positivity and diversity in his work. He currently has been working on a body of work highlighting essential workers during the pandemic.

For This Event:

We are asking for a suggested donation of $5.00 and will be donating 50% of the proceeds to our speakers and partners for Morning Brew. The remaining 50% will go to the AIGA Colorado Chapter to help with our overhead costs, future programming, and scholarships for students during this time.

This presentation will be recorded and sent to everyone who has registered in a recap email.
