Local designer Elsa Carenbauer will present her creative process & perspective behind an immersive exhibit at the new Meow Wolf Denver. The project, "Ruptured Time", was created by The Church of Many, a group of five artists and designers assembled by Andrea Thurber (creative director) with recruits Elsa Carenbauer, Anna Goss, Emily Merlin, and Maddi Waneka.
Elsa will take us through how she came to be part of the project, what skills led her to this participation, and how the creative process aligns with her more traditional graphic design projects. Enjoy a 30 minute talk with insights and visuals, then stay for the Q&A to ask all your burning questions about her insider perspective of Meow Wolf.
About Elsa Carenbauer
A professional designer in Denver since 2004, she owns and operates No Bones Left, a design and illustration studio. She believes good design is founded on good communication. Along with traditional design media like print and digital, she has experience in environmental and installation design. A DU grad, Elsa worked in small agencies and freelanced before founding her studio in 2015. Her hands-on artistic endeavors, recently in modern stained glass, help keep her in-tune with her creativity. Elsa is a past chair of AIGA Colorado’s Craftworks and Drink & Draw.
About Meow Wolf Denver
The third permanent exhibition opens September 17, 2021 at “Convergence Station” in Denver. Discover immersive psychedelic, mind-bending art and an underlying rich narrative as you take a journey of discovery into a surreal, science-fictional epic. Meow Wolf’s mission is to inspire creativity through art, exploration, and play so that imagination will transform the world. It began in 2008 as an informal collective of Santa Fe artists. These collaborative roots lay the foundation for a distinctive style of immersive, maximalist environments that encourage audience participation.
