AIGA Fellow 2007

During her 30 years as Asher Studio’s owner and creative force, Connie became one of the most honored and respected designers of our community. Back in the 70s, there were only a few women designers brave and talented enough to start their own business, but Connie did it. She was one of the 23 founding members of AIGA Colorado and active in the Art Directors Club of Denver, as well, becoming Board Chair in 1988-89. Connie was awarded the Sappi Paper “Ideas That Matter” grant for the Children’s Legacy, received Top Design Honors from the Belmar Award in 2004, and Asher Studio’s design was selected as the official poster of the 2007 AIGA National Design Conference in Denver. A trail blazer and role model, Connie’s friendly demeanor has encouraged conversation and sharing of ideas for decades.
