In support of #AIGAatHome, we have launched the Colorado Creatives Series, an opportunity to celebrate and showcase local creatives in our area. Our Colorado Creatives will share a little about their creative process, some of their most worthwhile investments, current reading lists and more. Enjoy!
How have you adapted your creative process during this time?
Surviving! Trying to balance a work schedule, my wife’s work schedule, and my two kids who are 3 and 5 years old is a challenge.
What is one piece of advice you can offer to other designers right now?
Find another outlet for your creativity that is different from your design work – Cooking, gardening, woodworking, painting, etc.
What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
My alternative creative outlet is LEGO. I love LEGO. I love it so much that I also work for LEGO as a part time job too.
What are you currently working on?
Right now most of my creative pieces have been with my kids. We have made a birdhouse from leftover wood in our garage, and have hosted “how to build a LEGO monster” video chats with my nieces and nephew, and my kids friends.
